Still Unbeaten

 

Our Under 12 Hurling side continued their great form as they completed a clean sweep , at the Blitz in a rain soaked Barley Lane, on Sunday 12th June.

In the first match of the day, our boys faced Kilburn Gaels.

First Half goals from Seanie O’Regan and a double from Liam O’Brien put McCurtains into a 3-0 to 0-0 half time lead.

The second half proved to be  the Billy Ball show, as our striker netted four times. Ryan Tattan added a goal and a point, making the final score 8-1 to 0-0.

In the second match we faced a young, but ever competitive Father Murphys side.

First half goals from Daniel Moran ( 2 ) and Liam O’Brien , put us into a 3-0 to 0-0 half time lead.

In the second half, a point from Liam O’Brien and a goal from Ryan Tattan increased our lead, but a four goal burst from Joe Hurley, really did the damage and McCurtains ran out winners by, 8-1 to 0-0.

In the final game of the day, we faced the London Camogie development squad.

In a very competitive first half, a goal from Billy Ball and a goal and point from Ryan Tattan, put McCurtains into a comfortable    2-1 to 0-0 half time lead.

In the second half, as the rain continued to drive across the field, McCurtains began to dominate and a goal by Charlie Lynn and seven goals from Daniel Moran completed the commanding victory.

Final Score. 10 – 1 to 0-0.
